Ganja La Chuli - Naya Kanga Peak Climbing (5,844 m.) - 18 Days

Ganja La Chuli (Naya Kanga) 5844m. is marvelously situated in the southern flank of Langtang region of Nepal and towering over the South of alpine Langtang valley and holy lakes of Gosaikunda. Its fine ridge systems provide superb climbing and spectacular scenery from a top the summit; you can gaze in wonder at the peaks of the Jugal Himal as a Dome Blanc, Langshisa Ri and at Tibet's highest Mt. Shisapangma 8035m. the last 8,000m. peak in the World to be the climbed.

The normal route of ascent to Naya Kanga is via the north - East Ridge over a line on ice and snow. We follow the route of Langtang trek to Kyangjin (3,749m/12,297ft) for the ascent of Naya Kanga. To the north above Kyangjing, there are several hills that provide both the magnificent views and acclimatization. Northeast of Kyangjing Ri (4,700m/15,416ft), there are two peaks; Yala Peak (5,500m/18,045ft) and Tsergo Peak (5,749m/18,857ft) that provide good climbing for acclimatization.

Outline itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu city and prepare for the trip
Day 03: Drive to Syabru (2200m) - 9 hours by local bus
Day 04: Syabru - Lama hotel (2470m) - 6 hours
Day 05: Lama hotel - Langtang (3490m) - 6½ hours
Day 06: Langtang - Kyangjing Gompa (3920m) - 3 hours
Day 07: Explore the Langshisa Kharka, visit Yala Peak and come back to Kyangjing Gompa
Day 08: Kyangjing Gompa - Ganjala Pass (5200 m)
Day 09: Ganjala Pass (5200 m) - Naya Kanga BC
Day 10: Naya Kanga BC – rest and acclimatization
Day 11: Naya Kanga BC - Summit Naya Kanga (5844 m) and back to Ganjala Pass
Day 12: Extra summit day and back to Ganjala Pass
Day 13: Ganjala Pass and back to Kyangjin Gompa
Day 14: Kyangjing Gompa - Lama hotel - 7 hours
Day 15: Lama hotel – Syabru Bensi (2200m) - 5 hours
Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu from Syabru Bensi – 9 hours
Day 17: Sightseeing around the Capital City Kathmandu and farewell dinner with typical Nepalese cultural program in the evening
Day 18: Depart from hotel and transfer to the airport.
